The Grant Winning Workshop

The Grant Winning Webinar

The Grant Winning Webinar is designed for project and program leaders who want to write fewer grants and better grants to spend more time on mission and less time on fundraising. We believe that designing projects for success, understanding donors, and communicating clearly, generates grant proposals that tell compelling stories and win funding.

Get off the treadmill.

You and your organization are running on a treadmill trying to raise money and every effort counts. Yet an enormous amount of energy is wasted on unsuccessful proposals. This workshop will help you get results. You'll better understand what grants to pursue and how to increase your odds of winning grants that align with your goals.

Take control of the process.

From the moment a grant application opens, you may feel overwhelmed with the task and its details. In the two sessions of two-hours each, you will get tools, insightful advice, and specific feedback that will change how you design and complete grants and let you take control of the process.

Is this you?

This webinar is for passionate program and development staff from non-profits who want to be more successful at grant-winning and waste less time on grant-writing. This webinar is for curious learners willing to engage online and share their own experience to help everyone to level up.

Embed grant-winning in culture.

Effective grant development is not a one-off skill to learn, it is an essential organizational capacity for every non-profit. The live webinar or custom workshop includes course modules on Goals, Instructions, Writing Style, Planning, Budgets, Risks, Measurement, and Process. Each module includes examples, key insights, take-home exercises, and a toolkit adaptable to your organizational culture or personal role.

Who is the presenter?

The presenter and creator is Dr. Don S. Doering, of Impetus Foundation Advising. Don has twenty-five years of experience in funding and building organizations and as a grant-seeker and grant-maker. The Grant Winning Webinar began as a half-day workshop delivered when visiting grantee institutions in Africa.  Since August 2021, Don has offered the webinar monthly online to non-profits in social and environmental justice, youth and immigrant services, democracy, conservation science, reproductive health, and allied domains (see list below). The public access to generative A.I. tools is a transformational development that impacts almost every aspect of program and grant development and execution. Don is at the forefront of advisors seeking to guide foundations and nonprofits through this new terrain.
